cron triggered the reboot..but server did not reboot

Can try try this ?

Edit /etc/modules.conf and add "alias char-major-10-224 off" (if the line
has it on, then change it to off).

Then do the following steps as root:

service crond stop
service atd stop
rmmod audit
service crond start
service atd start
