Hi All,

We are deploying Oracle Calendar 10g on redhat AS 4. I get error message
when I run ocasctl -stats -on

Accessing "OCASStats"Error (0x50101): The shared memory block does not
exist.

I also get another error message in another log file as follows:

Could not open/create cache table (0x51208)

When I check /proc/mminfo, I found that there is no MemShared part

[root at oct1 ~]# cat /proc/meminfo
MemTotal: 4150196 kB
MemFree: 3905332 kB
Buffers: 15692 kB
Cached: 122108 kB
SwapCached: 0 kB
Active: 123112 kB

However, there is a MemShared part on redhat AS 3
cat /proc/meminfo

total: used: free: shared: buffers: cached:
Mem: 4217614336 4049330176 168284160 376832 291663872 2934161408
Swap: 8587051008 0 8587051008
MemTotal: 4118764 kB
MemFree: 164340 kB
MemShared: 368 kB
Buffers: 284828 kB
Cached: 2865392 kB
SwapCached: 0 kB
Active: 473592 kB

We have checked all systems with redhat AS 4 in our environment. There are
no MemShared parts on Redhat AS 4

What cause this problem? We have update all the latest patches.

Thanks,
