error when i log in to client machine " no home directory for user XXX"
using "/" as home, after logging in i can see the mapping via ypwhich -m
auto.{master, home} with correct settings added to confusion when i run
yppasswd it say's yppasswdd daemon doesn't run on server.nis.domain, though
it's running on server.

No firewall, connectivity is fine too.
