Can not see LUNs attached to FA's above 255 on EMC DMX
using RHEL5.1 and emulex HBA'a

1. Redhat 5.1

2. Emulex HBA's

3. SAN = EMC DMX = FA's are > 255

4. Can not set the Emulex cards or Linux to support
about 255

5. Trying offset on the SAN but, it's not working.

6. We can see the 3 of the 4 SAN disks the FRA is on a
lun greater then 255 and can't be seen from the
server.

7. Have installed HBAnywhere and tried to reset the
lun_id #
./hbacmd GetDriverParams 10:00:00:00:c9:6d:xx:xx G P
max-luns fff

8. Also have modified the kernel (ram disk)
mkinitrd -v initrd-2.6.18-53.el5.new-4-16-08.img
2.6.18-53.el5

9. Can't get the server to support more then 255 lun
IDs

10. modprobe.conf
[root at foobar /boot]# cat /etc/modprobe.conf
alias eth0 bnx2
alias eth1 bnx2
alias eth2 igb
alias eth3 igb
alias eth4 igb
alias eth5 igb
alias scsi_hostadapter megaraid_sas
alias scsi_hostadapter1 ata_piix
alias scsi_hostadapter2 lpfc
alias scsi_hostadapter3 usb-storage
## Tried this first## options scsi_mod
max_scsi_luns=550 scsi_allow_ghost_devices=1

###BEGINPP
include /etc/modprobe.conf.pp
###ENDPP

# Emulex lpfc options
##tried this second### options lpfc lpfc_max_luns=4095

notice the 6mb connections
This is killing me!!!

Thanks in advance, I hope someone even can understand
