Unable to setup SMART Host in local mail server

i see now it stopped working now  i find my sent mail in */var/spool/mail/root
,*the following text i find

*My mail doesn't come in mail queue even . It doesn't even throw me any
error message in  while restarting the services and /var/log/messages .
