How to close mail warnings

I'm not sure, but how about this way below?

cd /var/spool
rm -rf clientmqueue
ln -s /dev/null clientmqueue

another question:
If I shutdown sendmail,(ie, use chkconfig to shutdown it), will I still
get those warning messages?
