Novice question about laptops and wireless

Two questions for me to research. Thanks! I don't know the answers,
myself, and I'm uncertain how I'll go about finding out about it. But
the questions will go on a list of things to learn.

I really only have one or two questions about this.  Does the wireless
card work with RH4?  Back in that day wireless was still just about a
pipe dream.  And if it does, will any hotspot still support the protocol
that card uses?
