NIC Teaming

Hi Vivek,
Please post the output of cat /proc/net/bonding/bond0

and also /var/log/messages(relevant parts) and dmesg. Prefferably have a
look at these debug files first to try and ascertain why it is not
working before posting them. Sounds like both interfaces are on the same
card so I don't think it is a driver/card problem. What value is your
miimon set to?

Try booting the machine with only eth0 plugged in, then plug in eth1 and
note down the difference between /proc/net/bonding/bond0.

Remove eth0 and look at /proc/... again.

Do the same for eth1.

What I am trying to acertain is whether eth0 is broken completely or
just not started up by the bonding driver when it is suppose to fail
over to eth0. The reverse of that needs to be tested too.

Double check that you have added the slave and master lines to eth0.

Regards
