In top, I only see java and mysql showing part of user CPU, I need to
know what application/process is using system cpu.

Subject: High System CPU Usage

All,

I have a cluster of 7 servers (ns client) running hava application and 1
NFS server. Sometime In the top output system CPU is 55%.

Could some give me a clues what might be causing system CPU to be that
high.

Tried these

Ps -eo pid, user,%cpu, args -sort %cpu the top list was java process and
mysql using 39% and 4% max.

Checked the output from sar -c, sar -b and at the peak time

04:10:02 PM proc/s

04:20:01 PM 40.02

04:30:01 PM 34.65

04:40:02 PM 35.74

04:50:01 PM 36.13

05:00:01 PM 40.61

05:10:01 PM 38.42

05:20:01 PM 32.75

Sar -P all

04:20:01 PM CPU %user %nice %system %iowait %idle

04:30:01 PM all 22.70 0.00 64.87 1.83 10.61

04:30:01 PM 0 24.14 0.00 63.88 1.69 10.29

04:30:01 PM 1 21.25 0.00 65.86 1.97 10.92

04:40:02 PM all 22.21 0.00 66.27 1.51 10.01

04:40:02 PM 0 23.53 0.00 65.23 1.53 9.71

04:40:02 PM 1 20.89 0.00 67.30 1.50 10.31

04:50:01 PM all 22.55 0.00 66.49 1.45 9.52

I can see the high usage by System CPU, but I want to find out what
might be causing this high so High System CPU. Any lead would be
appreciated.
