how to read the vsftpd.log

I found a link to to the xfer file format

This will give me enough of what I need.

 vsftp is not easy to understand, but once I did I could see it was very
secure

I'm trying to interpret the vsftpd.log.  I can't find anything that
explains it.

Is there a tool or document that can help me interpret it?
