redhat cluster, gfs, drbd, iscsi storage server

pls advise if GFS is used, both primary and backup could be accessed concurrently for iscsi storage server?

There should be another alternative. iscsi client (initiator) uses multipath to mount both primary and backup server. Then, no rhcs or heartbeat is required. Am I correct?

pls kindly advise as I am no experience in clustering technology.
