Is selinux getting in the way?

When I try to start samba it hangs at

[root at localhost samba]# service smb start
Starting SMB services:


All the logfile says is this..

testparm doesnt show any errors.  What could the problem be?

This is Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4
