On machine1:

1. vi /etc/exports
      /directory1    ipaddress_of_machine2(rw,no_root_squash)
      /directory2    ipaddress_of_machine2(ro)

2. start NFS  
      service nfs start

3.  Confirm that the directory is being shared
      exportfs -v

On machine2:

1.  Mount the remote filesystem
      mount -t  nfs <ipaddress of machine1:/directory1   /mountpoint1
      mount -t  nfs <ipaddress of machine1:/directory2   /mountpoint2
 
2. df -h

Hello. I need help with this topic (NFS). i need to export a FS from "machine1" to "machine2" (both of them RHEL 4) can anybody help me with that?



I think i have to edit the /etc/exports in "machine1" but Im not quite sure... what i dont know is what i have to do in "machine2". Am i right?
