Hi,

I just checked with the machine what was the problem and then I found the
below :

# more /proc/net/bonding/bond0
Ethernet Channel Bonding Driver: v3.1.2 (January 20, 2007)
Bonding Mode: fault-tolerance (active-backup)
Primary Slave: eth0
Currently Active Slave: eth0
MII Status: up
MII Polling Interval (ms): 0
Up Delay (ms): 0
Down Delay (ms): 0
ARP Polling Interval (ms): 200
ARP IP target/s (n.n.n.n form): XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Slave Interface: eth0
MII Status: down
Link Failure Count: 1161
Permanent HW addr: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Slave Interface: eth1
MII Status: up
Link Failure Count: 0
Permanent HW addr: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

eth0 is always down. think there is a hardware problem. Will check it up.
