problem modifing LVM

Hello all,

I have a problem managing a LVM,

I delete a pv with the command:
pvremove /dev/sda8 -ff

it gives me a warning but I say yes to the deletion. (silly idea)

now when I try to make any operation  with  the logical volumen I always get
the error:


Couldn't find device with uuid '1rP8Ah-Dmzw-UdoD-ENyx-MMVz-lhG9-PMc0DP'

I cant add new pv to the volume

vgextend VolGroup00 /dev/sda8
  Couldn't find device with uuid '1rP8Ah-Dmzw-UdoD-ENyx-MMVz-lhG9-PMc0DP'.
  Cannot update volume group VolGroup00 while physical volumes are missing.

so what can I do now? I have not idea how I can resolve this.
