my redhat install

[criminal teddy]

i have intel dualcore 2.8 ghz processor and intel D102 board ,1gb ram and
SATA 80gb drive.
i have no problem installing windows os,linux(ubuntu,opensuse,mandriva)
with fedora,redhat i install them and they doesnt boot.They show an error
regarding SATA drive.whenever i change to Single processor mode in my
board.they boot into desktop but i cant use it since it hangs often.This has
been long time problem with fedora and redhat.is that some fault on
enterprise  redhat OS ?has it provided any solution ,fix,patch?
