Now, and it won't. I'd wait - if the metadata doesn't match, either a)
someone's updating the repository, and they're not done, or b) someone's
slipped something unpleasant into the distro, and that needs to be
cleaned.

ESP. since this is your security, don't force anything; find out the root
cause in the repository.

        mark "maybe it's a good thing I haven't had a chance
               to start my regular updates...."
