You just bought it from Dell - you should really give them a call, and
tell them how unhappy you are that the preloaded system fails to boot, and
what needs to happen to fix it.

I've actually just been dealing with them, and once you get to the
engineers, they're pretty good about it all. Unlike Sun, er, Oracle, oops,
I mean "Some" companies, you can get knowledgable support quickly, and
Dell seems to be a company that knows what it's business is about.
