Dear Friend,


In reducing the LVM means you most need to be unmount the file system then
reduce the LVM. But becarefull about that it is very critical to reduce
incase of any step you miss your OS need to rebulit with Rescue.

First do in normal Pc then do it in Server side if it is Server............

umount the partition  then

#e2fsck -f lvname
#resize2fs /dev/myVG/LV1  100M
#lvreduce -L 100M /dev/myVG/LV1

#lvdisplay  lvname
