can't find core file

Hello all
I have application that generates core file , when I run the process with strace im getting as expected :
munmap(0x2aaaabb81000, 4096)            = 0
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV (core dumped) +++
Im using RH 5   2.6.18-128.el5 < uname –a out put
And my limit output as this :

cat /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern  is  core.
What else can it be ?
