Re: Problems with cups 1.4.2-48



If you installed the cups-lpd package, it includes a file,
/etc/xinetd.d/cups-lpd.  If you examine the file, you'll see the
service is disabled by default (disable=yes), but if you enable it,
and restart the xinetd service, it should start listening on the lpd
port.
