adding lun without reboot

Hi,

I cannot adding a new disk (from storage unit) on Rhel 5.5 without reboot.

I run below command;
echo "1" > /sys/class/fc_host/host(x)/issue_lip

But, it appears "Devloss timeout on WWPN xxxxxx" messages on
/var/log/message.

hba: emulex
