[redhat-lspp] newrole doesn't work on serial consoles

On Friday I filed this bugzilla because at least on my ia64 box, newrole
hangs when run on a serial console.  Might also hang a regular serial
port but I'm not sure.

The short summary is that on my system, newrole is hanging in the open when its
trying to relabel the tty.  It will also hang when it reopens stdin, stdout and
stderr.  If I change the opens to have the O_NONBLOCK flag, it works.  I don't
know if that's the right solution though.  I assume what I'm seeing on my
serial console has something to do with the way the agetty has configured the
port.

George, are you seeing the same thing?
