Google some info : http://www.google.nl/linux?hl=nl&num=100&q=nis+server+redhat+5.4&btnG=Zoeken&meta= And if you dont have a server try is with a virtual server on youre desktop. My advice would be install 5.4 and try to migrate the data not upgrade. Youre email suggests (i have not done any research and this mailing list must give me a workable solution) Sorry if you realy thought this try a different OS like windows. In this case we NIS client reads all maps info which we have created but not able to mount dir mentioned in NIS maps. NFS server and NFS client setting are fine. Fox) Date: Fri, 26 Feb 2010 12:25:34 -1000 Subject: rkhunter doesn't remove suspscan tmp files in /dev/shm Message-ID: <4B884A5E.6060104@us.fujitsu.com> Alle, I know this may be off-topic, so I apologize in advance, but we have installed rkhunter from EPEL (because it has the current version, 1.3.6 vice the 1.3.4 rpmforge version) on our RHEL machines and find that it does not remove the files in /dev/shm it uses for the SUSPSCAN test, this triggering a warning for said test. This was a known bug that was supposed to be have been fixed in V1.3.1. I can't find an EPEL mailing list to send the question to, so I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
