(RHEL) 8 and the subsequent launch at Red Hat Summit in May, we are
pleased to announce the beta availability of RHEL 8.1. This update
delivers several new enhancements to the world’s leading enterprise
Linux platform.

RHEL 8.1 Beta improves manageability, adds new security enhancements,
enables greater developer productivity and facilitates hybrid cloud
deployments. This release also includes updated drivers that deliver
new features and bug fixes for supported hardware platforms.

Highlights include:

* More granular control of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux web console
for configuring firewall rules and services
* Tailored security policies controlling access from containers to
host system resources like storage, compute and network
* New application streams for developer tools, frameworks and languages
* Expanded configuration options for image builder, with support now
encompassing all major public cloud infrastructure platforms
* New supported performance tools like eBPF and XDP

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, the intelligent operating system, is
designed to span the breadth of deployments across enterprise IT.
Built for the hybrid cloud, RHEL 8 supports workloads and operations
for private enterprise data centers and multiple public cloud
infrastructures. RHEL 8 helps organizations meet not only the demands
