[rhelv6-beta-list] Maximum number of tape devices

Is there any hope that Linux will increase the maximum number of scsi
tape devices (or at least make it configurable without needing to
recompile the kernel)?  Virtual tape libraries easily blow past the 32
possible devices (each with 8 different modes) making it difficult to
use a RHEL system as a tape backup master.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to get around the 32 tape limit?
