how MAC addresses are stored in ifcfg-* configuration files.<br><br></blockquote><div><br>If I recall correctly the MAC addresses in the ifcfg-* files are only used as a consistency check. There's a "get_device_by_hwaddr()" shell function but it's not clear to me whether that is actually needed by anything.<br>
