[rhelv6-list] Status of nouveau 3d support

Is there a timeline for enabling GNOME desktop effects with the nouveau driver?  My fully updated RHEL 6.4 system still doesn't allow that.  I'd prefer to use the open-source drivers included with the distribution than having to maintain a separate set of packages for the proprietary drivers.
