[rhelv6-list] LDAP without the cruft

Hello all,

Is it possible in RHEL6 to have LDAP authentication substantially similar to
how it was configured in RHEL5? I don't wish to run SSSD, D-BUS, NSCD, or
NSLCD. I don't need anything cached, I don't need anything mediated or
federated, I don't want to run additional services on all of my servers. I have
as yet not completely understood the new model, but thought I would reach out
to the community with this question directly. I have a working LDAP-over-TLS
solution currently in my RHEL5 environment that involves installing nss_ldap
and modifying one configuration file.

Thanks,
