ABI changes extremely rarely in RH. And elrepo's kmods are created so as 
to take advantage of the weak-modules mechanism so they can be reused 
without issues after kernel upgrades. Which is the core point of the 
whole story
And kmod packages can be integrated in driver disks with a tiny bit of work.
