  Identical problem here.

  Starting on April 11 I have the same problem as ++Tail reported.
  I can telnet to xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com on 80, to anywhere else
  on 443 (including rhn.redhat.com and listman.redhat.com) but
  starting on 4/11 telnet to xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com 443 fails.

   Tried this too. (I assume xmlrpc.rhns.redhat.com is a typo
   for xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com). All these resolve to
   for me.

   Here's what happens.

   serverURL=http://www.rhns.redhat.com/XMLRPC      : works
   serverURL=https://www.rhns.redhat.com/XMLRPC     : fails
   serverURL=http://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/XMLRPC    : works
   serverURL=https://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/XMLRPC   : fails

   Very strange indeed. Further, I put up a sniffer while I telnet,
   and when I telnet to no 443 I see the packet go
   out and there is no reply. When I telnet to anywhere else on 443
   (rhn.redhat.com ( for example) I see packets in
   It sure _feels_ like a problem on the xmlrpc.rhns.redhat.com end.
