[rhn-users] Bind 9.2.2 from previous versions

We just brought up a RedHat 9.2.2 bind, with our
own named.conf and zone files from previous bind
installations.

Our master zones work fine. Slave zones show various
difficulties, such as

Aug 25 12:33:10 host named[2615]: xfer-in: error:
transfer of 'sub.domain.top/IN'
 from 192.168.35.23#53: failed while receiving
responses: not exact

where 192.168.35.23 is an Active Directory DNS server.

Other problems:

Aug 25 15:44:58 host named[2924]: xfer-in: error:
transfer of '210.168.192.in-
addr.arpa/IN' from 192.168.208.202#53: failed to
connect: timed out

Yet, from the bind 9.2.2 system I can issue a dig
command and get the SOA record just fine.

Ideas? Thanks! (Also, what sort of directory
permissions would you recommend on /etc/named and the
zone files within /etc/named?)
