[rhn-users] Broken scripts after Perl 5.8.0

We've just upgraded to Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 with Perl perl
5.8.0.

Our cgi scripts no longer work correctly. Perl execution stops except when
we enable
taint mode. We didn't use taint mode before. Why did this occur (the need
for taint mode)?
