[rhn-users] installing new RPMS

I have Redhat 9
I want to install some RPMS on redhat9. can I install the
new versions of rpm with out installing the older version
for example I want to install  zlib 1.2.2.2  on RH 9 
this is the latest package for Fedora can I install this on RH9
like this  can I install new rpms fedora to RH9....?
I want to wheather it will work well ..?
