[rhn-users] Expanding a partition

All,

 

I'm wondering if any of you have expanded a partition with out data loss
with out using LVM. I have expanded the space on my SAN and Linux
recognizes the space. Red Hat support tells me I have to blow away my
existing data and partition and create new ones. Any thoughts? I was
certain that an ext2 file system could be expanded. I'm running RHEL 3
BTW.
