[rhn-users] RHN Interface Issues

I'm curious about how people at other large organizations are managing
things on RHN. We may be unusual in size, I'm really not sure.
Currently we have around 650 systems registered, around 350
rhn-accounts/users, and around 400 system groups and activation keys.
Anyone else out there in this ballpark?

There are several issues I encounter using RHN now and I expect them
to only get worse as the size of our userbase continues to grow. Just
logging in takes forever. Some screens, like the activation key
screens, have no method I see for getting around aside from moving
ever so slowly from one page full of keys to the next until you
finally find the one you are looking for. Creating a new user account
is exceedingly painful and a waste of valuable time as we create the
account, create a system group and activation key for the new account,
make the new account an admin for the new system group, and make the
key drop new systems into the new group.

I don't know how exactly this might be improved. One obvious thing
would be to add an index across the top of every page that has
multiple screens of information. There is one now for systems groups,
but not for activation keys. Another option would be to allow me to
display more than 50 at a time on one screen (letting me display them
all on one screen would be helpful too).

A command line way to do some tasks would be very helpful. If I could
create accounts, groups, and keys from a command line interface that
would same me a lot of wasted time.

Anyway, I'm curious if others out there are similarly frustrated or
perhaps have ways around some of these issues?

Thanks,
John
