Make sure your settings are correct in these files:
/etc/sysconfig/network
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (or whichever you're using, if not eth0)
/etc/hosts
/etc/resolv.conf

Subject: [rhn-users] changing server ip and name

I had to change the ip address of my server. I have
modified host file, no however when I ssh to the server
using the new ip, the old ip still shows at the screen
title/header. This means that old ip is being stored
somewhere. This is not causing any problems other then
confusion. Same happens when you use patty in windows, the
title will show the old ip.
Can anyone tell me how to remove the old reference?
    Thank you,
    DarekChost name
