[rhn-users] Unable to Run up2date on a RHEL3 AS server

Off the top of my head,

I recall there are some python modules for handling
rpms.  It's either python-rpm or rpm-python....

Your error looks like python yelling about missing
object classes (or whatever the proper pythese-lingadee is).

Maybe if you delete your registration. Can up2date all the system.

Asunto: [rhn-users] Unable to Run up2date on a RHEL3 AS server

Hello,

I have installed RHEL3 AS on a new server, and when I try to run either
up2date by itself or up2date -l from the console as root, I get the
following message:

[root at server1 root]# up2date
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/sbin/up2date", line 11, in ?
    import rpm
ImportError: No module named rpm

Anyone knows how to fix that. The version of up2date is 4.2.57-2

Regards,

Serge
