[rhn-users] SYSTEM HANGS WHILE SHUTTINGDOWN(ERRORMSG:acpi_power_off called)

After adding  "acpi=off" in grub.conf ,my system hangs after booting up and 
i am not able to work at all.
I tried this 4 to 5 times ,but it is giving the same result.My system starts 
to hang.
