[rhn-users] /usr/bin/id SEGFAULTS

We have noticed on a number (10+) systems that now after the upgrade to
RedHat AS 3 update 8 the command id SEGFAULTS.

Basically if you type as root, id <user> it segs.
Now if you su to the user and type id.  All works fine.
If you as root type id, it works.

It appears to be something with the numeric id of the group, but I have
not been able to find a pattern, over 30000 sometimes triggers it.

What I have found is that the /usr/bin/id from update 7 works even on
the update 8 machine.

Has anyone got any ideas ?
