RHEL

Get package of mysql 4.1.12 (and related) and run as root (or via sudo)
#rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs mysql-4.1.12xxx.rpm --force

Xxx: means whatever right after the name of package

Buy a new motherboard!

You can get a cheap SATA150 card based on the Sil3112 or 3114 chip that
works easy and well. Don't get anything with the Promise chip - it
works, but insists on loading first, and you might end up with boot
order issues. I couldn't find any resolution for this (wanted to use
swappable disks...).

All SATA300 controllers I looked at were ridiculously expensive.

By the way, SATAII is the name of a committee. It is not a standard.

Craig.

Perhaps someone can give me clue how to reasonably sort lists on RHN
based on a field using dates. Dates are given in mm/dd/yr format which
makes sorting on those fields ineffective. I can't find a way to
display dates as yy-mm-dd or something more reasonable for sorting.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
John
