[rhn-users] Filesystem has unsupported feature(s)

Hi Everybody!

I'm currently using RHEL3 with ext3 filesystems. On boot, I am getting the
message 'Filesystem has unsupported feature(s)' when the os tries to check
the filesystems. The filesystems that it is having trouble with are on 2
hard drives separate from the root fs. I'm using e2fsprogs-1.32-15.3, which
appears to be the latest version for rhel-3.

I have read about this error and it seems that the general status of the
error is that the filesystems were created with a different os. I'm pretty
sure I created these filesystems with rhel3, but if I did not, then the only
other that they could have been created with is Fedora Core 4.

I can still mount the filesystems, so I just have to remove the entries from
fstab and boot and mount them when the systems start, but I'd rather get to
the bottom of this.

So... my questions are:

1. Is there a way to check when the fs was created and with what?
2. Is there a way to update the fs so that it is compatible with e2fsprogs
-- obviously, without creating it.

I appreciate any help. Thank you.
