dmidecode will also give you the manufacturer of the motherboard:

# dmidecode
Handle 0x0002
         DMI type 2, 8 bytes.
         Base Board Information
                 Manufacturer: IBM
                 Product Name: IBM
                 Version: Not Specified
                 Serial Number: Not Specified
