Hi all.
I've installed RH Ent4, all the patches from up2date, MySQL and Apache.
I'm now trying (and failing) to add perl modules with CPAN. Below is a
sample:-
8<----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
[root at bugzilla1 5.8.5]# perl -MCPAN -e 'install"AppConfig"'
CPAN: Storable loaded ok
Going to read /root/InstallPackages/y/Metadata
Warning: Found only 0 objects in /root/InstallPackages/y/Metadata
Going to read /root/InstallPackages/y/sources/authors/01mailrc.txt.gz
Going to read
/root/InstallPackages/y/sources/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz
Database was generated on Tue, 24 Jan 2006 02:16:00 GMT
CPAN: HTTP::Date loaded ok
There's a new CPAN.pm version (v1.83) available!
[Current version is v1.7601]
You might want to try
install Bundle::CPAN
reload cpan
without quitting the current session. It should be a seamless upgrade
while we are running...
CPAN: LWP::UserAgent loaded ok
Fetching with LWP:
ftp://cpan.etla.org/pub/CPAN/modules/03modlist.data.gz
LWP failed with code[404] message[File '03modlist.data.gz' not found]
Fetching with Net::FTP:
ftp://cpan.etla.org/pub/CPAN/modules/03modlist.data.gz
Couldn't fetch 03modlist.data.gz from cpan.etla.org

Then it halts. If I just try command line FTP that fails too.:-

We serve as the ftp.fi.muni.cz, ftp.linux.cz, and ftp.cstug.cz archive,
and we have lot of Linux-, UNIX-, and TeX-related stuff here. Look
at the /pub/ROADMAP (or /pub/ROADMAP.html) for details. The file
/pub/README.uploads states the rules for uploading data to this server.
The server is avaliable via rsync and HTTP protocols. Use the following
URLs:
rsync://ftp.fi.muni.cz/pub and http://ftp.fi.muni.cz/pub/.
The server is available via FTP over IPv6 at ftp://ftp6.linux.cz/ as
well.
Look at http://www.linux.cz/stats/ for the hardware configuration and
statistics of this server.

If I try the same on WindowsXP it all works perfectly.
Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong?
Help most appreciated
