eth0 is the rj45 cable connected to wirelees modem. cable internet access

You said you tried to configure eth0, but couldnt get online, why not, what happened, what did you see, not see, is eth0 there or has it not recognised your wireless network card, is in fact eth0 the non wireless network card perhaps?

I just installed linux redhat 9.0 on an IBM aptiva with windows xp pro.
Each has a partiton of 20 gig a piece, pentium four 1 gig of memory
my question is how can I configure linux to go online. I have cable modem hooked up to wireless router however the rj45 is connected.
I have tried to configure the eth0 and device detected in network but still can not connect online help.
