Hi Prodromos,

first, verify that the "old" RH9-partition still exists...

 you at there # fdisk -l

If, take a look at the /boot/grub/menu.lst ... You can add there new entries, like

  title Red Hat 9
        root (hd1,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.x.y-z.ELsmp ro root=/dev/hdb1
        initrd /initrd-2.x.y-z.ELsmp.img

Then reboot...
