that is a potentially dangerous endeavour.
 
Email was not "meant" to send logs. Logs are big. it's true modern mail systems can handle big files but it's not quite appropriate.
 
Maybe what you want is logwatch ( which creates a daily report of you logs ) to send the report to your mail box.
 
By default logwatch sends mail to root.
 
you could change logwatch to send to you, or you could put your email address in /root/.forward so that you get all systems mails.
 
That's what I do.
