Hi,
This might be a dumb question, but just becasue you have hyperthreading,
should the system show more than 1 cpu?
Thanks,
Néstor :-)

Hi Abhi,
This list is not intended for discussion about topics specific to Red Hat Enterprise Linux that do not involve Red Hat Network. For discussion of such topics, you may want to try:
[1] RHEL 4 Discussion - https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/nahant-list
[2] RHEL 3 Discussion - https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/taroon-list
[3] Red Hat System Administrators' list:

Also, you should be using the smp kernel. Try 'up2date kernel-smp' and reboot.
Regards,
Juli

Hello,
Supermicro P8SCi Motherboard
Intel Pentium 4 630 CPU (3.0 Ghz, 2 MB L2, Hyperthreading, 800 Mhz FSB)
1 GB DDRII 533 Mhz RAM Non-ECC
Using RHEL 4 with 2.6.9-11.EL kernel
when i run
#cat /proc/cpuinfo
it shows only 1 processor
seems my Hyperthreading is not working, but its is enabled from BIOS.
