You should have a NISDOMAIN=xxxx line in /etc/sysconfig/network that
sets it at boot time.

You can run "domainname xxxx" to set it w/o rebooting

Have you configured /etc/yp.conf ? Try running authconfig - it will set
this stuff for you.

Subject: [rhn-users] help with networking?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to get a machine running RHE 4 on the network. When I try
to ypbind it, it says
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: Domain not found.
I have looked and looked at files and it seems like I have the domain
correct in
hosts
resolv.conf
ifcfg-eth0
networking-scripts
and many other files. Does someone know how to fix this? I've never
seen
this error before. I will google it, but I wanted to ask you rh people
first.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions/advice.....
Paula
