RedHat now has a RHEL 5 AP product (SKU MCT0987) for VMware that
includes 10 RedHat Virtual Machines. How are these licences counted on
the satellite? With RedHat XEN, the satellite knows the Host and the
guest VMs under it, so it can count the number of guests. VMWare ESX
shows this for /proc/version: Linux version 2.4.21-37.0.2.ELvmnix
(mts at pa-build51.eng.vmware.com) (gcc version 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat
Linux 3.2.3-34)) #1 Fri Mar 30 10:21:21 PDT 2007[VMnix version 43424].
Thanks!
